PAF to upgrade electrical systems of S-211 aircraft

MANILA, -- The Philippine Air Force (PAF) has allocated the sum of Php36,054,883.22 for the procurement of spare parts needed for the upgrade and maintenance of the electrical systems of one of its SIAI Marchetti S-211 jet trainer.

Pre-bid conference is scheduled for March 30, 11 a.m. PAF Procurement Center Conference Room, Villamor Air Base, Pasay City.

While submission and opening of bids is on April 14, 9 a.m. on the same venue.

Prospective bidders should have an experience in similar project within the last five years.

The PAF is known to operate between three to five units of the S-211s which is now acting as the country's fighter aircraft since the retirement of the Northrop F-5 "Tiger" interceptors in 2005.
