PN to Acquire Spare Parts for Tanker 1

MANILA, -- In line with its efforts to boost the numbers of its serviceable assets, the Philippine Navy (PN) announced that it is allocating Php5,026,808.59 for the acquisition of spare parts needed for the maintenance and upgrade of its Tanker 1.

Winning bidders are required to deliver the items within 15 calendar days.

Issuance of bidding documents is on April 1 to 21.

The PN is known to operate between five to six tankers which it uses for the refueling of its naval assets.

The Philippine Navy BRP Tanker 1 (AF-81) former (M/T Lapu-Lapu) oil tanker from the Philippine National Oil Corporation (PNOC) currently undergoing machinery and structural repair.
