It is an annual training event which includes subject matter expertise exchanges, Maritime Air Surveillance, Command and Control, Maritime Interdiction Operations, Aircraft Marshaling Training, Deck Landing Qualification, High Angle Sniping, Aeromedical Evacuation, Close Air Support, Search and Rescue, Cross Training Exercise and Support to Special Operations which includes the Combat Insertion and Extraction.
The exercise aims to enhance the PN-PAF units operational capability in a joint maritime security operation, to develop joint capability for Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASuW), Anti Surface Water (ASW), and Anti Aircraft Warfare (AAW) in Philippines Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), Philippine Air Defense Identification Zone (PADIZ), and territorial waters. It also intends to improve areas of interoperability and other joint training opportunities and the security of dignitaries to the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit 2015.
A total of 230 personnel from different units of the PAF will participate in the said training activity utilizing the different PAF aircraft subject to its availability.
