The boats, which came out last December 27 from Cadiz, arrived at White Bay pier and after discharge were taken in tow to the base HMAS Waterhen, where they will be prepared for delivery to the DMO (Defence Materiel Organization) Australian.
Among the tasks to be performed are the deshibernación equipment, checking no damage in transportation of different systems, fluid removal protection and replacement fluids for operation and formally transferred girt and missing documentation.
Navantia delivered the first four LLC units last May. These boats, which will add a total of twelve, are designed to operate with the amphibious ships ALHD 'Canberra' and 'Adelaide'. Its main features are:
