JAKARTA, -- The flight of F-16 Fighting Falcon of Air Squadron 16 Air Force based at Air Top Air Force Roesmin Nurjadin, in Pekanbaru, Riau, flew to Australia to participate in joint exercises Pitch Black 2016 , in Darwin, on Wednesday (27/7).
Commander of the Main Air Base Roesmin Nurjadin Air Force, Air Commodore TNI Henri Alfiandi, in Pekanbaru, on Wednesday, advised, "Keep prioritizing safety and security, check and re-check the details of each preparation is done so that exercise can be run safely, smoothly and without obstacles until later returned to base. "
One flight of F-16 Fighting Falcon Block 52ID was led by Commander of the Air Force 16th Air Squadron, Lt. Col. Nur Alimi Airmen. He took off from the air base to lead five Air Force F-16 fighter aircraft and 62 personnel from the Air Force 16th Air Squadron.
Five aircraft that includes 12 pilots and 50 support personnel will follow the planned training from 1 August. This joint exercise involving several countries with different types of fighter planes.
