MANILA, -- A French warship yesterday arrived for a three-day goodwill visit on Manila, the Philippine Navy said.
Capt. Lued Lincuna, spokesman of the Navy, said that French Navy Ship (FNS) Guepratte (F714) arrived at the Pier 15 of Manila South Harbor yesterday.
Lincuna said that the French ship’s arrival is a goodwill visit to the Philippines. It will stay up to Saturday.
FNS Guepratte is under the command of its first female skipper, Cdr. Claire Pothier.
F714 is a multi-mission La Fayette-class stealth frigate of the French Marine Nationale (French Navy).
According to Lincuna, Barko ng Republika ng Pilipinas (BRP) Rajah Humabon (PF11) will render customary meeting procedures at the vicinity of Corregidor Island and escort the vessel to its designated berthing area.
